WHO BENEFITS
One of The Jewish Federation’s top priorities is ensuring a strong, vibrant Jewish future for our children and grandchildren. Our funding of Jewish summer camp incentive grants and scholarships plays an integral role in sending 1,500 kids to camp. Studies show that Jewish camping experiences foster a lifelong connection to Judaism that often leads to creating future leaders within the community.
Furthermore, those who attend Jewish summer camps grow up to be:
- 37% more likely to light candles regularly for Shabbat
- 45% more likely to attend synagogue at least once a month
- 55% more likely to feel very emotionally attached to Israel
However, many families in our community cannot afford to send their kids on this impactful summer journey, which is why The Jewish Federation funds “camperships incentive grants” and camp scholarships to help thousands of families offset the cost of Jewish summer camp tuition. With your generous support of Tour de Summer Camps, we’ll be able to give even more of our kids a transformative camp experience, helping ensure the Jewish future for many generations to come.
